I think the haters have a tendency to forget this fact. Bisping was the man stepping up like this and I don't think he gets enough credit.

OK, let's be fair here;

Lots of fighters take fights on this short of notice. Bisping isn't the exception.
Jones is the exception for not doing it.

Its more a matter of Jones being a bitch than it is Bisping being a hero, respectively.

Even still, I have way more respect for guys willing to fight anyone at any time. I hate this whole "no no, I need my full 10 week camp to train and game plan for a specific fighter's style."
Real fighters jump at the opportunity to fight.

yeah but most guys who step up on 8 days notice dont have a #1 contendership on the line. A lot of guys would have said no on 8 days notice just cause of what was on the line. Fact is with the way Maia fought weidamn, Bisping would have more than likely tko'ed him and would have just waited his turn to fight silva after sonnen but he stepped up to the plate any way is what i think makes a bit of difference between bispings stepping up and other guys.

I just meant guys like him are real fighters, and Jones looks like a bitch right about now.

What Bisping did- and what a lot of others have done by stepping up- is exactly what you should do, and they all deserve respect for that.
Jones obviously does not.
