OK, so Palhares injured his knee and pulled out yesterday. Replacing him with a Greg Jackson fighter against Okami. I wonder if this fight will go to decision?

| seriously, we have to pay for this card? (i mean they WANT us to pay for it) we just had machida, shogun, vera, swick etc. on a free card that delivered big time. except the main fight here, i am not really getting any blood rush to nether regions for any others. cerrone vs guillard? its a fucking filler fight! | |

| Oh come on now. You're not getting at least a little blood rush to your nether regions when you think about Guillard and Cerrone? You said you get a blood rush there when you think about Henderson and Edgar, so why not these fellas? You don't even get a little quiver down there when you picture those two together? Not even a slight swell? A wiggle maybe?
A minor throbbing for a few seconds?

| Oh good god.... I like Frankie but dubs on every fight he has? He needs to move down and own the division. | |

| IMO, neither guy deserved to win that fight. Overall, it was way too close to earn a belt. However, if you are going by the crappy UFC scoring system, I gave rounds 2 and 4 to Edgar and round 1 to Henderson. Scored 3 and 5 a draw... no way you could pick a winner in either of those rounds. So, I scored it 49-48 Edgar. | |

| I think Edgar got hosed. He was the only one going for the finish multiple times, he rocked Bendo a few times and got some takedowns. I'm still a bit groggy this morning but I just can't figure out how Bendo won this... on leg jabs? | |

| Yes. I think the 1st round was the only round of the whole fight that Edgar clearly lost.

| Yeah, I fully agree there. He definitively lost the first as much as he won the second. The other rounds were ugly and close. | |

| OK not much talk about the other fights, so here goes.
I actually loved the Cerrone/Guillard fight. Was surprised Guillard held back when he had Cerrone all but finished. And then BAM.... head kick and good night.
And I don't think weight class was Shields' problem. Wow was that a horrible fight to watch.
IMO, that Hamman/Kuiper fight was FOTN. Just loved how Hamman did not stop pressing and just walked through punches and never stopped throwing bombs. Kuiper took about 7 haymakers before he finally stayed down. Just loved that fight.
I really thought Lentz looked good at Featherweight. Glad he redeemed himself after two losses in a row. I'd like to see him make a run at Feather.
And glad to see the Milwaukee guy (Camus) get a decent win in his UFC debut.

| Yeah the prelims were great man as was the Cerrone-Guillard fight.
Guillard really surprised me he came out agressive with those kness and it looked like he was going to upset Cerrone ,but he recovered and ended it with a high kick. Man shows you can't count Cerrone out.
Lentz looked awesome kept slamming the hell out of that guy, dominated on the mat, and had good striking and GnP.
Hamman/Kuipper was awesome Kuiper kept fighting back no matter how much punishment everytime it looked like it was over he'd get up and keep firing back. Hamman did a good job too and just wouldn't let up.
Camus/Pague was another pretty good fight I thought Camus looked great in the first round utilizing that triangle choke and had good elbows from the ground, but Camus had surprisingly good takedowns and good GnP so he took the decision.
Okami/Roberts wasn't even that bad ,both men kept exchanging strikes before Okami took his back, got him to turtle up, and finished the fight landing punch after punch.
Bermudez-Hayden was another good fight I thought Hayden would upset ,but Bermudez was so strong, he slammed his way out and got on this tight guillotine man.
Erik Perez looked awesome.
I didn't see the Shields-Herman fight, did I miss anything?

| I think they should've given too FOTN awards one to Cerrone-Guillard and the other to Kuiper-Hamman. | |

| OK....I'm hammered right now-as I was during the fights. But let me get this straight;
One judge scores the fight 49-46 for Edgar.....but he somehow loses a decison?!
I'm not gonna debate the decision, but this just proves that at least 2 judges have drastically different opinions on what equates to points in an MMA fight.
Judging needs help.....

| 5 judges, push button data entry that they can't change or call back, 5 or 6 buttons on the panel, strikes, take downs, submission moves etc....
I donno.... just trying.

| I'd propose exactly the opposite of that. No Scoring. Each judge picks a winner at the end of the fight and should have to attend the post fight press conference to defend their decision. | |

Either way having them at least explain how they came to their decision and have to answer to challenges would be useful. Could you imagine Dana going at the judges?

| I think having to explain their decision could help alot, just in it self. If these guys know they are gonna get blitzkrieged about it, they are probably more likely to pay attention to give a solid score, just to not sound like an idiot at the post fight presser. | |

| It's just ridiculous that there is that much of a difference in how judges see and score fights. If they just all scored it one way (even if it clearly was not the correct way), then at least we could just say they need to be better schooled at what to look for. But when one judge scores it 49-46 for one fighter, and the other judges score it for the other fighter, that tells me that something is seriously wrong here. That tells me that at least one of the three judges has absolutely no fucking clue what they are doing. That's not opinion, it's just fact. Obviously if a fight is scored that way, even the judges themselves would say one of them is a fucking idiot.
I don't know, I just don't think I've even seen this happen before. We've seen lots of bad decisions, but this was different.
