| I agree Gecko. I think Bisping takes this to a decision and outpoints Stann. It'll be one of those "Stann was never able to pinpoint Bisping and impose his will"...Bisping's footwork and jabs will win. | |

| Yeah, I see no way Stann wins this. I was really hoping for Bisping/Vitor, but oh well. | |

| Stann has a punchers chance and thats about it IMO Mikey will likely pick him apart and out point him to a UD | |

| Seeing bispings vastly improved wrestling and has good submissions according to tito. I have to wonder if bisping is to implode on a ground and pound or submission style game plan here. no disrespect but if chael can catch Stan with a triangle than i think bisping will have no problems either. Might be a sure way to end the fight early and really make a impact. | |

| I dunno...I don't see that happening. Bisping is not a finisher, never has been. It's not his game plan to finish an opponent...especially a striker. I'll never forget the post fight interview after the Leben win where he admitted that his game plan was to win a decision. | |

| WHAT.....? 22 and 4... 18 KO, TKO, or submission finishes and only FOUR decision wins!
Sam.... what is your definition of a finisher? Cause to me Bisping's results sure make him look like a finisher.

| I guess I'm just thinking as of late. His recent fights don't lead me to believe that he tries to finish fights...I mean, yeah you're right about his stats...but lately in his past handful of fights I've never once thought "damn stay away from the strikes of Bisping or you'll be stopped". The only time I've thought look out for his finishing power was when he fought Mayhem...I thought Mayhem is going to try to take this down and one of two things is going to happen...either A) he'll take Bisping down and submit him, or Bisping will stuff his takedowns and beat him up and possibly get a TKO...but that didn't happen. | |

| Fair enough but I think The Count will finish Stann in fine fashion. | |

| I hope so...mainly because Bisping vs Silva would be a much more entertaining fight than Stann vs Silva | |

| Yeah, I don't think it's fair to not call Bisping a finisher (yet). Especially when you compare him to guys like Maynard, Edgar, Fitch, Cruz, Griffin, Sonnen, GSP, Guida as of late, etc...
Bisping was a pretty damn boring fighter to watch in 2010. Maybe it was just an off year for him. Bisping did finish 2 of his last 3 fights. I just don't think you gain many fans by announcing after a fight that your game plan was to outscore Leben and take the decision. I don't think most fans want to hear that.

| There is a difference between having one punch KO power and being a finisher.
I think some people label Bisping as a non-finisher because he doesnt hit hard, but I dont think that's entirely fair.
I agree that he definitely fought for a decision against Leben, but in all honesty that was not only the smartest gameplan, but it was the only gameplan. He was fighting a brawler with a granite chin that he was going to be able to hurt anyways.
