I don't think it's a matter of them not wanting rashad as champion, I think it's more that they LOVE Jon Jones as champion. Just my opinion...

I agree FistK...it's moreso about the love for Jones...he's looking like Silva part II and peopel love that.

To me it sounds like marketing. Jones is a pretty easy sell right now cause the word is out that this kid has mad,mad talent and has beaten a lot of the top 10 lhw in the world and he is still very young. Rashad on the other hand, most fight fans seem to have mixed emotions about (myself included). plus his fight with Phil davis really didnt win him any fans either. That match was pretty boring. the fact that Rashad decisions his fights half the time and jones has finished every fight except 2 makes it even easier to go with Jones on this one as far as marketing goes.

Jones will either finish the fight on rashad or rashad is going to take home a deceison win via lay and pray. Me thinks jones will finish rashad but i am not counting him out by a long shot either.

And I don't think it's necessarily the UFC that doesn't want Rashad to be champ...it's the fans. I know I for one don't want to see him be champ again...it'll be just like most of the others, just a flash in the pan one fight champion win then he'll lose it the first title defense.

I'm not counting out Rashad either...I don't think he'll win, he shouldn't win...but I'm not counting him out.

Its easy to be champ, fight the champ, beat him, and hold the title...... what part of this don't you understand?

Remember when you beat Forest for the championship? Remember when you lost this championship to Lyoto on your first title defense cause you were trash talking instead of fighting and got KTFO? (losing your title).

Heh You get your chance to win the title again this weekend. The UFC won't deny you the championship... heh but I am quite certain Jon Jones doesn't want you to be champ.... and he WILL do something about it.. ..

im not the biggest "suga" fan but he is not being a bitch right now. at the least he is just motivating himself and trying to sell himself too. you guys said that ufc and the media and the fans adore jones right now, so, i imagine, it would feel like he is unwanted to rashad.
wtf is the difference between not wanting rashad and loving jones as a champion? nothing.

I don't know about that. If Jones wins, he will still be the rising star with the world wrapped around his finger, and Rashad will still be crying that everybody hates him and that he doesn't care.......even though he keeps bringing it up everytime there is a microphone in the same timezone.

The truth of the matter is that Evans has had several title shots in the UFC. And other title shots lined up that were ruined by injury (ie.. not the UFCs fault).

His next fight IS a title shot yet he still won't stop bitching about how everyone is out to get him and the UFC doesn't like him.
I just hope he gets his face mashed in early. Although, he will likely come out with the same gameplan he used against Quinton since there is no way he is truly going to want to engage.

I wouldnt mind seeing Rashad winning either.Not cause i like the guy cause to be honest i am really not a fan of his at all.I would be interested and seeing a couple of things:

1. How will jones be after his first loss, that will say a lot about this kids future.

2. I am curious to see him build his way back up the latter for another shot.

The biggest reason I don't want to see Rashad win is because I'm so sick of these one time champions that can't hold onto the belt. I'm completely fine if Jones never gets beaten. I don't really care to see how he deals with loss. I want to see Anderson Silva part II...a thoroughly dominant champion that no one can figure out.

I would love to see that too, but i dont think anderson would do it. I think Jones would be game. If Anderson pushes for any super fight it will be GSP where he can have a size advantage and a big advantage in the striking department. Jones would be to much of a threat. Thats just my 2 cents though.

Well no shit Anderson wouldn't want to do it! Jones is huge for his own weight class, he would dwarf Silva.
Not to mention if Silva lost, everyone would be yelling "See, I told you so!" and calling him overrated, completely disregarding the fact that he just lost to the champion in a heavier weight class.
